In Trier Germany 2001
My name is Christopher Shaw and I am a MSgt in the US Air Force. I am married with 3 great kids. As you can probably tell one of my passions/hobbies is World War II. I really can’t get enough information about it. I am by no means an expert on the subject, just very interested and intriqued by every aspect of the war. I am pursueing a degree in History through University of Maryland University College which I hope to specialize in Military History, especially (yes, you guessed it) World War II.
I am currently living in Germany so over the next few years I plan on visiting lots of battlegrounds, memorials, museums, and both American and German cemeteries that honor the heroes of both sides of the war. I am not so vain that I believe only the Allies had heroes. The Germans have war heroes also. I do not believe that all Germans were Nazi’s; my belief is that the German people were misquided and their sense of patriotism to their country put them in uniform. You will hear more on my beliefs as this blog evolves.
I encourage all comments to my postings; both that agree with my opinion and especially those that disagree. I can only learn more by other’s opinions and thoughts. Thank you and I hope you do enjoy my thoughts.
